Samuel D. Palmenter, age 81 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Amherst Meadows. Sam was born on November 20, 1931 in Alliance, the son of the late John and Mary (Margason) Palmenter. He was a lifelong resident of Massillon, where he was a self-employed drywaller, plasterer, and stucco contractor. Sam was one of the original members of Tiger Town Boat and Ski Club. He enjoyed boating and fishing on Lake Erie. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Palmenter and his loving friend and companion Elaine Forrester. He is survived by his Aunt and Uncle, Mildred (Jacobs) and Eugene Zimbello; many cousins including Carol and Elizabeth Zimbello of Canal Fulton, Patty Zimbello of Massillon and Elaine's children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Samuel's Life will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 7 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Fr. Thomas Cebula will be Officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
