Sam A. Nodo, 70, of Tuscarawas Township, passed away at his residence on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Sam was born on October 19, 1951, in Massillon, the son of Samuel and Lura (Hart) Nodo. He graduated from Tuslaw High School in 1970. Following his graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Sam was the owner of Bestway Heating and Cooling for many years. He taught HVAC at Stark State College for 17 years. He was an Eagle Scout and was a Boy Scout leader as well. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and golfing. He was also a member of the Portage Lakes Bass Club in Portage Lakes. Sam attended Epworth United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother Lura Nodo. He is survived by his children, Chad Nodo and Amanda (John) Doubledee; father, Samuel Nodo; grandson “little buddy”, Kadin; sisters, Cindy (Sam) Manfull and Lorri (Scott) Widder; brother, Jody (Vicki) Nodo; and his former wife, Vicki Henderson. The family would like to thank Sam’s caregiver, Sibilla, for her outstanding care that she provided him with and Crossroads Hospice for all their compassion and care as well. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. He will be inurned at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
