Sally L. Rootring, age 80, of Navarre, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at The Inn at University Village. Sally was born on April 28, 1932 in Arzene, Italy the daughter of the late William and Elda (Basso) Maniago. She came to America at the age of five and settled in Michigan. She was a 1950 graduate of All Saints High School. Sally was a member of Holy Family Parish (St. Clement's Catholic Church) in Navarre. She was a loving mother and grandmother first and foremost. Sally found joy in her kitchen, cooking everything with love for her family. She is survived by her children, John (Beau) Rootring of Cincinnati, Jeffrey (Kathy) Rootring, of Olsburg, KS, and Norma Jean (Michael) Fearon of Jackson Twp.; her grandchildren, Kyle, Zachary, Ellen, and James Rootring; her sister, Norma McIntosh of Sterling Heights, MI; and 1 niece and 2 nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at The Inn at University Village and Crossroads Hospice for their loving and exceptional care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish in Navarre. Fr. Michael Seifert will be Officiating. Interment will follow at St. Clement Cemetery.
