Sally D. Roehlig, age 80 of Massillon, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2021. Sally was born in Massillon, Ohio on April 12, 1940. She graduated from Massillon Washington High School and worked and volunteered at Gorrell Elementary School in the office, substitute teacher, and a teacher’s aide. Sally collected angels, wrote handwritten letters to family members out of state, was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying the Cleveland Indians and the Cavs. She loved her dog, Sam, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Massillon. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lola Martin, and uncle, Robert Martin. She is survived by her children, Carl A. Roehlig II, Annette M. France, and Thomas J. Roehlig, grandchildren, Michael C. France II, Annabelle Roehlig, Davin Roehlig, Spencer Roehlig, Keegan Roehlig, and Brooke Rice, great-grandchild, Brayden Rice, sister, Shirley Ryan, cousin, James Martin, and ex-husband, Carl Roehlig Sr. Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. A service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
