Ruth L. Mingle

Ruth L. Mingle, age 88 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio. She was born on October 23, 1925 in Dickson, TN and was the daughter of the late Joe Harley and Hazel (McCoy) Luther. Ruth worked at the Massillon Health Department for many years and retired in 1987. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Lady Lions and the Massillon Women's Club where she was Woman of the Year. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Mingle and her husband Melvin Mingle. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Linda and Chuck Shepherd and Janice and Robert Mullen, her grandchildren, Jeff (Andrea) Shepherd, Tim Shepherd, Amanda (David) Estes and Janine Mullen. Also surviving are her great grandson, Colton Shepherd, her step great granddaughter Courtney Estes, her brother Joe (Ann) Luther and her sister, Christine Bowman. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Her pastor, Dr. Roger Alber will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service.
