Ruth H. Ditch

Ruth H. Ditch, age 91 of Massillon, died on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on February 2, 1918 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Atlee and Esther Marie (Welton) Hasler. She was a lifelong area resident and was of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Ditch, Sr., her son Gary Lee Ditch, her brother Albert Hasler and her sisters, Eva (Hasler) Ebie, Jean (Hasler) Simon and Betty (Hasler) DeHoff. She is survived by her children, Judy Barkman of Massillon, Grant (Susie Green) Ditch, Jr. of Massillon, Marilyn (John) Cooper of West Benton, OH, Gregory (Becky) Ditch of Canton, and Barbara (Tom) Calvert of Orient, OH, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 P.M. with her son in law, Tom Calvert officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
