Ruth E. Wright

Ruth E. Wright, 77, passed away on November 23, 2021 at Aultman West Hospital. She was born on March 5, 1944 in Woodsfield, Ohio to the late Charles L. and Clara O. (Allen) Hogue. Ruth was a retired LPN at Massillon State Hospital where she worked for 35 years. She loved her children as well her grandchildren, but spent a lot of her time travelling. She loved to see the world and go to casinos with her late partner Larry Susic. Ruth also loved to read, write, solve crossword puzzles and drink coffee. She was known for always singing ‘happy birthday’ through a phone call on everyone’s special day and loved to take country rides. Ruth came from little, but gave a lot to everyone. She is survived by her children Kathy Garner, Lee Abbott and Kimberly Abbott; step-children Helen (Melvin) Whitted, Mike (Debra) Susic, Larry (Rebecca) Susic, Eugene Susic and Paul Susic; grandchildren Jennifer Krites, Michael Thatcher, Jason Abbott, Nicholas Abbott, Alan Garner, Jamie Brahm, Bailey Rauser, Melissa Cain, Christopher, Michael, Karl, Ryan, Erin, Prissy, Sierra, and Nicholas Susic, Eric Morrow, Jeanie Whitted, Jon Smale, Dylan Whitted. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her partner Larry Susic, sister Goldie Ann Wells and nephew Daniel W. Wells. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Those unable to attend the service may click on Facebook Live Streaming at 1:30 p.m. to watch the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. before the service.
