Ruth C. Williams

Ruth C. Williams, age 90 of Massillon, died on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Altercare of Alliance. She was born in Massillon on August 31, 1918 and was the daughter of the late Harry and Edith (Geschwind) Shaidnagle. She was a lifelong Massillon resident. She worked at the American Legion Post 221 in Massillon as a cook and later the manager of food services. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Glenn Williams and her brother Robert Shaidnagle. She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Ollom and Ruth Ann Burgess both of Alliance, her grandchildren, Heather, Aaron, Jonathan and Lori, her 7 great grandchildren and her sister in law, Cleo Shaidnagle and Cleo’s son Larry Shaidnagle and his family of Laredo, Texas. Her wish was to be cremated with no calling hours or services.
