Ruth Bolan

Ruth Bolan, age 79 of Massillon, went home on Friday, May 18, 2007 from her residence with her family at her side. She was born on November 25, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Dossie & Maude (Lovett) Vaughn. Ruth was a hardworking, generous and loving person who was devoted to her family and friends. She loved to grow flowers from seeds and give them away to others. She owned and operated her beauty salon for over 26 years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, John Bolan in 1984, brothers Joseph Thomas and Donald Vaughn and sister Lucille Bair. She will be deeply missed by her children, son John (Edie) Bolan and daughter Wendy Nader and her grandchildren, Jessica (Dave) Henderson, Joellen (Gary) Rogers John (Amy) Bolan, Tabatha Anaya, Laura Nader, Maria Nader and Jonathan Bolan. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and her sister June (Ralph) Burleson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25th at 6:00 P.M. at the Salvation Army in Massillon with Rev. Chad Durfee officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, Heifer International or Hospice of Stark County.
