Ruth Ann Del Rio

Ruth Ann Del Rio, age 61 of Massillon, died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. Her death followed a lengthy illness. She was born on January 1, 1946 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Leo and Margene Murphy Peters. She was a lifelong area resident. Ruth Ann graduated from Washington High School in 1964. She retired from the former Republic Steel where she worked for 35 years as a payroll supervisor. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence and Richard Peters. She is survived by her husband, David L. Del Rio, whom she married on February 20, 1965, her daughter and son in law, Michelle Del Rio-Keller and Matthew Keller of Massillon, her grandson, Vincent Keller, her sister and brother in law, Nancy and John Del Rio of Massillon and her brother and sister in law, Paul and Mella Peters of Perrysburg, OH and her mother in law Helen Del Rio of Massillon. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Kevin (Karen) Del Rio, Karen Johnson, Jackie Woods, Joleen (Chad) Del Rio-Tharp, Paul (Amy) Peters, Jason (Shannon) Peters and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Barbara Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Cebula officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
