Ruth Ann Austin Robey

Ruth Ann Austin Robey, age 94 of Perry Twp. died on November 14, 2019. She was born on November 08, 1925 in Mayfield, Kentucky. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William Gordon Robey; her parents, George and Mina Austin; sister Martha Lou Robey and brother-in-law Gerald Robey. She is survived by her children David (Sancy) of Maitland, Florida, Deborah (Jay) Russell of Medina, Ohio, Michael (Connie Dumoulin) of Perry Twp., Ohio; grandchildren Jay Robey of Maitland, Florida, Sara Williamson of Penrose, CO., Mandii (Mike) Cramer of Wadsworth, Ohio; five great-grandchildren Keelyn Robey of Arlington, Virginia. and Caleb (Kenzie) Robey of Plano, Texas, Summer and Samantha Williamson of CO. and Merida Cramer of Wadsworth, Ohio; a niece, Melinda (Gordon) Janko of Poway, CA and nephews Dan and Jeff Robey of Florida. Ruth Ann was a 1943 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended O.S.U. She was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church, served as a Deacon, and sang in the choir for 65 years. She worked at Perry Local Schools as a secretary for 23 years at Reedurban Elementary. After her retirement, she and Gordon enjoyed winters with their Florida family and summers with their children at the family cottage in Ontario, Canada. Swimming, Canoeing and reading were her favorite things to do, along with corresponding with her American and Canadian friends. At her request, she will be cremated, her ashes spread with her husband’s at a place that is special to them. Memorial Service will be on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11a.m. at Reedurban Presbyterian Church with visitation from 10-11a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ruth Ann’s name may be made to Reedurban Presbyterian Church – 1145 Perry Drive NW, Canton, OH 44708. www.arnoldlynch.com
