Ruth Agnus Goist

Ruth A. Goist, 84 passed away surrounded by her family, on Thursday, February 13, 2013 at Amherst Meadows following an extended illness. She was born on December 21, 1928 in Youngstown to the late James Charles & Hazel (Stickel) Riley. She graduated from Ursuline High School and had worked at Coen Furniture, then worked as a secretary at the Grief Board, retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church. Ruth is survived by her husband of 54 years, Frederick O. Goist, three children, Karen (Keith) Thomas of Navarre, Deborah (Rob) Floyd of Bennett, CO, James Goist of Navarre, two sisters, Emma Jane (Bill) Terlecki, Dorothy Ann Viceral & Robert (Phyllis) Riley, & four grandchildren, Jacob, Kyle, Hayley & Matthew Goist. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Clark. Friends may gather from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the St. Barbara's Catholic Church were a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM, Fr. Thomas Cebula, Celebrant.
