Ruth A. Pachis

Ruth A. Pachis, 91 of Akron, formerly of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at home. She was born on November 22, 1925 in Massillon and was one of 18 children born to John and Eva (Elesky) Kovatch. She retired from Central States Can and Ohio Paper Products. She was a former member of First Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 16 siblings and one grandchild. Ruth is survived by her children, Patricia (Dante) Paul, Richard Pachis, Regina Capriola, Kathleen (Timothy) Kowalczyk and Amy (Paul) Reeder and her brother Steve Kovatch. She loved being with her family, especially her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and she loved to travel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12-1 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home (1100 Wales Road N.E. in Massillon). Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
