Russell Erwin Shelt

Russell E. Shelt, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Canton. He was born in Canton on November 11, 1935 to the late Lester E. and Virginia Shelt. He is survived by his children, Scott Shelt of Massillon, Tammy Shelt of Kidron, Jeffery Shelt of Canton, Tina Gross of Massillon and Timothy (Denise) Shelt of Tuscarawas Twp.; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Alexander and Lorraine Bigler; and four brothers, Paul, Roger, Graylon and Kenneth Shelt. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Eggenschwiler) Shelt and a brother David Shelt. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00AM at Paquelet Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Dan Sunde. Burial will follow in Massillon Cemetery.
