Ruby L. Ashley

Ruby L. Ashley, age 63 of North Lawrence, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on April 20, 1950 in Bassett, VA and was the daughter of the late George Robert and Callie (Bennett) Craig. Ruby had worked at the former Perry Rubber Company for more than 20 years. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching her hummingbirds and enjoying her flowers. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Ashley, her sisters Peggy and Shirley and her brothers Richard, Roger and Howard Wayne. She is survived by her husband, Paul Ashley, whom she married on April 2, 1967, her daughters, Cindy (Dwayne) Powell, Laurie Allison and Tina (Tysen) Foresha, her son, Paul (Kathi) Ashley, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her brothers, Michael and David and her sisters, Judy, Brenda, Deborah, Patsy, Cathy and Linda. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday from 2-4 P.M. Additional calling hours will take place at Bassett Funeral Service in Henry Co., Virginia on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. with a service on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M.
