Rozetta Brewer

Rozetta (Herring) Brewer, LPN, 78, of Long Island, NY slipped away into the arms of our heavenly Father on July 11, 2014. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family after a short illness. Rozetta worked at the Massillon City and State Hospitals from 1954 until she moved to New York in 1969. She was born January 18, 1936 in Massillon to Ernest and Addie Herring who precede her in death. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Brewer and one brother, Jackie Herring. She is survived by her four children, Darnell (Lola) Streeter of Massillon, Mark (Renee) Streeter of Hampton, VA, Marcie (Willie) Streeter of Hephzibah, GA and Corey Brewer of Long Island, NY; six brothers, James "Sonny" (Theresa) Herring, Gerald "Jerry" (Rochelle) Herring, Robert "Bobby" Herring, Edgar "Dicky" (Yvonne) Herring, Otis "Tommy" ( Jeannie) Herring and Kenneth Herring. Rozetta also leaves twelve grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, friends and a special Goddaughter, Sally Nicholson Friends and family may call from 6:00PM-8:00PM on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Monday July 21. 2014, at St. James AME Zion Church, Pastor Roslyn Martin, officiating. Burial will follow in North Lawn Cemetery.
