Rosemary Bryan Hewitt Wigginton

Rosemary Bryan Hewitt-Wigginton, 92, of Massillon, passed away on December 1, 2022. She was

born on May 28, 1930, in Massillon Ohio to Charles and Ida (Khoury) Bryan and her family consisted of Albert (Blanche), Virginia, Florence (Larry Lannen), Chester, Chuck (Ruth), John, Dick (Jan), Jim (Sally).

Following her graduating from Mount Marie (Central Catholic), she and her friend Louise Giltz, whose dad owned Yip's confectionary on the southwest side, traveled out west starting in Los Angeles and landing in Las Vegas, where she met her husband Gene, a member of the Air Force and they started a family, Chris, John, Mark, and Cindy, spending 13 years in California. Following Gene's retirement from the military, the family moved to Brewster. While living in Brewster Rosemary will be remembered as a teller at the Peoples Merchants Bank In 1982 Gene passed suddenly and following Cindy's college graduation, Rosemary moved back out to her favorite place, Las Vegas, where she met and married Steve Wigginton. Rosemary and Steve had 20 years together before Steve passed away from a brief illness. Returning to Massillon she resided at the Inn at University Village before her passing on Dec 1, 2022.

She is survived by Chris and Sandy Hewitt, John and Rebecca Hewitt, Cindy and Jeff Reichert, with 7 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 am before the service. She will be interred at St. Joseph Cemetery with her husband Gene at a later date.
