Rosalie Goodman

Rosalie (Silvestri) Goodman, age 85, of Massillon, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born January 5, 1925 in Salem, OH the daughter of the late Raymond and Angelina (Stancato) Pellegrini. Rosalie had been employed by Central States Can. She was an auxiliary member of the Massillon American Legion and V.F.W. She was a wonderful mother who loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with whom she would take field trips. The staff at Altercare also enjoyed her witty humor. Rosalie is survived by her children Sandy (Bill) Byers of Massillon, Linda (Don) Pittman of Jackson Twp., and Rev. Joe (Karen) Silvestri of Wooster; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Philip Pellegrini of Canton. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Goodman, and brother Romeo Pellegrini. Visitation will be Tuesday October 12th from 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the funeral home with additional visitation from 9 A.M. until the time of service. Her son Rev. Joe Silvestri will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you the staff of Altercare of Navarre for the excellent care given to Rosalie during her stay.
