April 20, 1949 — June 29, 2013

Ronnie J. Hart, 64, of Navarre, passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2013 at home. He was born on April 20, 1949 in Massillon to the late Marion E. & Freda M. (Elliott) Hart. He was a graduate of Fairless High School, Class of 1968. He served in the United States Army serving in Germany & Vietnam. Ronnie was employed by the Timken Company until his retirement in 2010. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Stark County Firefighters Association where he was a member of the Executive Board and served as a Zone Representative. Ronnie was a proud member of the Bethlehem Fire & Rescue, Inc. where he served as a Captain Firefighter/EMT for over 32 years. He was instrumental in the development of the SCFFA Annual Golf Scramble Fund Raiser. He was also a member of the Navarre VFW Post #5047. Ronnie was dedicated to his family and to the service of his community & country, touching many lives. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and fire family. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Cathy (Garman) Hart, whom he married on August 5, 1972, their children, Tiffany (Timothy) Hurst of Beach City & Brandy (Rich Hendershot) Peterson of Navarre, three grandchildren, Preston Peterson, Chloe Hurst & Presley Hendershot, who were the loves of his life, two sisters, Sharon (Gary) Steele of Navarre & Shirley (James) Love of Canton, brother, George Hart of TN, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon on Friday July 5, 2013 from 5:00PM-8:00PM with a Last Alarm Service at 7:45PM Dress Uniforms are requested and on Saturday, July 6, 2013 from 9:30AM-10:30 AM. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6, 2013 at 10:30AM in the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon, Rev. Ronald Bryant, Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Firefighter Association, Bethlehem Fire & Rescue, Inc. or to the Ronnie Hart Memorial Fund at Huntington Bank.
