Ronnie G. Carroll, 66 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his residence with his wife by his side. Ronnie was born on July 12, 1949 in Athens, TN the son of the late Rev. L.V. Sr. and Gladys (Kirkland) Carroll. Ronnie was a United States Army Vietnam veteran where he was a member of the 82 Airborne Division. He was awarded both the Purple Heart and Silver Rose. He worked for Union Drawn, Wayne Dalton Door Co. and North Canton Transfer as a truck driver. Ronnie was a member of Woodlawn Church of God, American Legion Post #221, Vietnam Veterans of America – New Philadelphia, Mustang Club of Ohio and the Harley Owners Group. Ronnie was a car and motorcycle enthusiast. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Debra Shelton. He is survived by his wife Gloria (Arney) Carroll whom he shared 43 years of marriage; his sidekick Pepper; his brothers L.V. Jr. (Helen) Carroll and Richard Carroll; his sisters, Regena Hoover- Mowls, Patricia Davis, Rebecca (Wes) Shankland, Lavell (Bob) Mason and Renee Barker; and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Ronnie's life will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Rev. Matt Coutcher and Rev. Rob Mason will be officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery.
