Ronald "Ron" John Sovik

January 21, 1947 — January 28, 2013

Ronald John Sovik, age 66, passed away on January 28, 2013. Born January 21, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Elmer & Bernice (Noga) Sovik, Ron was the oldest of five children. He was a 1965 graduate of Cardinal Mooney H.S. and a 1969 graduate of Youngstown State University, where he served as President of Theta Chi Fraternity. Ron was the owner and President of Sovik & Associates, Inc. An avid golfer and founding member of Glenmoor Country Club, Ron could be found on the golf course as often as the weather permitted. He will forever be remembered as a kind and generous person who was devoted to his family and friends. Ron is survived by his daughters Melissa, Tiffany and Haley Sovik; brothers Robert (Kathy) Sovik and Raymond (Cindy) Sovik; sisters Regina (Michael) Roell and Renee (Wes) Sima; and, most importantly, his faithful canine companions Zoey and Kiwi. A memorial service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 12 p.m with Father James McKarns officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, a gift may be made to the "Ron Sovik Memorial Fund" at any Key Bank location to assist the family with expenses.
