Ronald D. Montague

Ronald D. Montague, 62, of Massillon, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025. Ron was born on March 10, 1962 in Alliance, Ohio the son of Gerald and Mary (Gatts) Montague.

Ron grew up in Ohio and graduated from Perry High School in 1980. He resided in Ohio most of his life, and moved to Alabama where his heart still resides. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, grilling, and watching football. Alabama was his favorite team. He was a carpenter by trade and owned his own business for many years. You could always catch him wearing jeans, flannel shirt and his Alabama hat 'Beauty Ring'. He loved spending time by the fire with his favorite 'four legger', Rosie. 

He is survived by his children, Sue (Nick) Rayner, Aaron Montague, Kayla Montague, and Dana Montague; parents, Gerald (Mary) Montague; grandchildren, Haley, Ayden, and Logan Rayner, and Roman and Lana Young-Murphy; siblings, Mimi (Mark) Botchvaroff, Kathy (Flek) Stoehr, Joni Montague, Jerry (Barb) Montague, Mark (Vickie)Montague, and Jeff Montague; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2-4 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ron's life will follow at 4 pm. To leave a special message with Ron's family, please sign the online guest book.
