Ronald K. Williams

Ronald K. Williams, age 73 of Lawrence Twp. passed away Friday January 17, 2014 at Affinity Medical Center. Ron was born June 15, 1940 in Lakewood, OH to the late Robert & Nancy (Flack) Williams. He graduated from Washington High School in 1958 & from Columbia University in 1962. Ron was a supervisor at Republic Steel (Canton) and left to join his father with the Ben Franklin Stores (Amherst, Towne Plaza & Mayflower). In 2000 he and his wife retired from the stores. Ron was a member of the Tiger Booster Club, and a past president of the Touchdown Club. His civic activities include: vice president and Board member of the Massillon Chamber of Commerce, served as past president of the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. In addition to his parents, a brother Robert preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Marie (Heck) Williams with whom he shared 39 years of marriage. He has two children: Darryl Lynn (Rick) Miller of Columbus and Scott Williams of North Carolina; and three grandchildren. A Celebration of Ron's Memory will be 11 AM Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Rev. Henry Harris will officiate. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
