Ronald James Patterson Sr.

Ronald “Ron” J. Patterson Sr. ,age 75 of Massillon, passed away on November 28, 2021. He was born in Akron on January 24, 1946 to the late James and Geraldine (Bowser) Patterson. Ronald retired as an Electrician. He enjoyed woodworking, playing with electronic gadgets, fishing with his grandkids, photography, and watching his Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the love that he had for his family. He is survived by his children Ron Patterson Jr., Russ (Lisa) Patterson, Shawn (Sharon) Patterson, Michelle (Xavier) Dufaure de Citres, Shannon (Joe) Seckman; the mother of his children Sandy Roth; his grandchildren Zach (Nina) Patterson, Keith Patterson, Tyler Patterson, Megan (Cory) Briggs, Shawn Patterson Jr., Savannah Patterson, Forrest Patterson, Ryan (Nourhan) Pittman, Janelle (Tom) Murphy, and Joshua (Cassie) Seckman; his great grandchildren Zayden, Sylvia, Trent, James, Gabriel, Ella, Camden, and Aria; his sisters Patricia Swarts, Betty Marcin and Debbie Patterson as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents Ronald was preceded in death by his grandchildren Sarah and Justin; his brothers Homer Patterson and Lynn Patterson and his sister Shirley Vercamen and his loving partner Connie Campbell. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday, December 07, 2021 at 2p.m. and will be livestreamed. Facebook Live Streaming The family will receive friends from 1p.m. until the time of the service. Donations in Ron’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
