Romaine Vanryzin

Romaine VanRyzin, age 58 of Massillon passed away on December 09, 2021. She was born in Massillon on December 17, 1962 to the late Jack and Laura (Talani) Maynard. She was a 1982 graduate of Washington Massillon High School. She married David James VanRyzin on October 26, 1985 and they shared 36 years together until her passing. Romaine retired from the Radiology Department at Aultman Hospital. She enjoyed visiting casinos, tailgating at the Massillon Tigers games, and spending time with her grandson. Romaine was a fun loving, kindhearted, feisty woman. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband David; her sons Zachary J.(Jessica) VanRyzin and Philip J. (Tracy) VanRyzin; her grandson Paxton J. VanRyzin; her brothers Jimmy Joe (Diane) Maynard, Jack (Cathy) Maynard, Everett (Char) Maynard; her sisters Donna (Bill) Pappas and Lucille Buntera and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Sarah Gruno.
