Roland W. 'Chunk' Heisser, age 87, of Jackson Twp passed away at his home July 26, 2014. Rolly was born July 10, 1927 in Massillon to the late William & Hilda (Ruch) Heisser. He was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School and served in the Navy at the close of WW II. Chunk retired from D & A Plumbing and was a member of the Plumbers Union. He loved spending time at Lake Mohawk, fishing and playing cards. His family will remember his great sense of humor and making everyone laugh. He loved his trips to Branson, Cancun and Ft. Myers. He was also an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Gregory Heisser (1976), step-father Ray Douglas, two sisters, Faye Close and Lois Guleff and a brother Jimmy Douglas. He is survived by his wife Mary Jean (Airhart) Heisser with whom he shared 65 years of marriage. They have two children: Cindy Pascu and Jeffrey Heisser. They have three grandchildren: Kara (Steve) Abbott, Tricia (Christopher) Finan and Krista (Erik) Klein, and eight great grandchildren. Services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Fr. Edward Gretchko will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills.
