Roger Lee Smith

Roger Lee Smith, age 79 of Canton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on February 14th, 2023. Roger was born September 11, 1943, in Alum Creek, West Virginia to the late Fred and Thelma Smith. He was preceded in death by siblings Joseph, Fred, Lucille, Gladys, and Helen.

Roger was the beloved husband to the late Anna Smith, and he is survived by his daughter Tena Zehnder (Robert) and son Roger Smith Jr. (Roger Pitre) along with 5 grandchildren Scott Zehnder (Kylie), Amanda Hemphill (Ken), Brandi Gehri (Mark), Adam Smith and Josh Pitre (Abigail Murray). Roger also had 7 great-grandchildren who brought abundant joy to his life.

Roger retired from Republic Steel after over 30 years of service. He loved his Cincinnati Bengals, Reds and West Virginia Mountaineers and loved playing his guitar. Most of all his loved his family with all his heart.
