Roger Klever, 89 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. Roger was born on July 6, 1925 in North Lawrence, the son of the late Herbert and Mary (Jones) Klever. He lived here most of his life and graduated from Canfield High School in 1943 and received his Bachelor's Degree from Ohio University. Roger was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving our country during WWII in both the South Pacific and Korean Conflict. He worked at Massillon City Hospital as an X Ray technician and Massillon City Casting. Roger was a member of VFW Post 3124 and D.A.V. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by Cordelia Klever, and his brothers, Herbert, Jack, Wilbur, and Donald Klever. He is survived by his children; Roger E. Klever, Scharon Valentine, Mary Klever, Rose Martin and Lori Arner; his grandchildren, Theresa, Cathy, Carol, Denise, and Olivia, Bryan, Budd, John, and Matthew; his great grandchildren, Megan, Chelsea, Mandy, Jordan, Kaylee, Sayge, Nevaeh, Isabella and Damon; his great-great-grandsons, Caden, Phillip, and Callen; his sister Sally Moser; his sister-in-law, Irene Klever; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes. There will be no calling hours or services. Donations may be made to any veteran's organization.
