Roger D. Reese

Roger D. Reese, age 71 of Massillon, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011, in Dayton while attending his grandson’s graduation. Roger was born January 17, 1940. He was raised by his parents Glenn & Jean (Isbell) Reese and was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School. He had been employed by Superior Meats, Flemming Foods and currently by the Massillon Boys & Girls Club. Roger was a devoted family man; his grandchildren saw him at all activities. Roger & Jeanette loved to socialize with their special group of friends. He will be sadly missed by his lake fishing buds and his pole barn party buds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy (Beatty) Reese in 2007. Roger is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Taylor) Reese; children, Jacquie & Brent Offenbecher, Tim & Amy Reese and Mike & Vicki Reese; step-children, Mark & Cindy Hickey, Mike & Jackie Hickey, Danielle Hickey and her special friend, Melissa Kate and Matthew Hickey; grandchildren, Julie & Joe Williamson, Amy & Nick Webb, Nicole Offenbecher, Brandon Reese, Hannah Reese, Jordan Reese, Joshua Reese, Jeremy Reese and Justin Reese; step grandchildren, Ryan Hickey, Meghan Hickey & Taylor Hickey and three great grandchildren. Roger is also survived by his brother, Terry (Sue) Reese, his mother-in-law, Mona Taylor and sister & brother-in-law, Peggy & Ron Mang. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. His final resting place will be St. Joseph Cemetery.
