Roger Anthony Houk

Roger Anthony Houk, 65, passed away on October 11, 2020, following an extended illness. Born on April 27, 1955 to James and Marilyn (Farnsworth) Houk in Barberton, OH, Roger was the oldest of his siblings. He graduated high school from Fairless, Class of 1974 and enjoyed being an alumnus on the Reunion Planning Committee ever since. He joined the Airforce and was honorably discharged. Following his time in the service, he returned to the Navarre area where much of his family was located. He was a hard worker and a good employee as he rarely missed work or was late for a shift. He enjoyed Tug O’War and softball with his buddies as well as long weekends deer, rabbit, or squirrel hunting. In addition to hunting, Roger was a devoted father and husband, an avid Buckeyes fan, gardener and the Best Dog Dad Ever. He was a kind and giving man, the kind this world needs more of. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Huston; daughter, Jennifer (Bryce) Naylor; granddaughter, Zoie Naylor; and a brother, Gary Houk. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Terry, Tommy and Susan Houk. A private memorial service will be held in the spring of 2021 for family and close friends.
