Robin D. Smith

Robin D. Smith, age 47 of Massillon, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center following a lengthy battle with breast cancer. Robin was born on July 19, 1964 in Massillon the daughter of the late George and Marjorie (Long) Bowers. Robin lived in the area her entire life and was a 1981 graduate of Washington High School. She worked for the Canton Repository for the past 15 years as a motor route carrier. Robin enjoyed her children, grandchildren and her animals. She is survived by her fiance, Scott Lowery; her children, Brandy (Chris) Filliez, Amy, Barbara, and Bridgett Smith, Sydney, Kaylee, Skylar, and Abby Lowery; her grandchildren, Jermiy, Jared, and Jax Filliez, and Jayden and Braddock Milburn and Savannah Smith; her brothers, George (Margie) Bowers and Tim (Debbie) Bowers; and her sister, Dotty (Jerry) Porter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Rev. Kenneth Weaver will be officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Paquelet Funeral Home to cover final expenses.
