Roberta Elizabeth Owens

Roberta Elizabeth (Miller) Owens, 57 of Massillon, passed away September 20, 2017. She was born in Massillon on April 1, 1960 to Grace Miller. She attended Whittier Elementary and graduated from Perry High School, class of 1978. Her interests included travel, bingo, watching movies, music and especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robbie was very well known in the area despite having spent several years living the comfortable life on the Eastern coast of Florida. Over the years she worked at numerous Massillon area businesses including K-Mart, Doc-Os, Rite Aid, Sterilite, Wal-Mart, Convenient Food Mart, Bordners and more. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Miller (Laase), step-father Donald Laase, special Aunt Margery Oehl and a number of other relatives and friends including the recent passing of her significant other, Jeffrey Blackford in 2016. She is survived by her daughters Nicole A. Moretz and Holly M. Owens, both of Stark County. Other survivors include cousins and lifelong friend Vicky Hartzell.
