Robert "Rob" J. Harwig

Robert "Rob" J. Harwig, 58, of Massillon, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family on July 4, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1965, to Robert "Bob" and Linda (Couch) Harwig.

Rob worked as a carpenter for over 30 years until his retirement in 2022. He was a very hard worker and took pride in what he did. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and being with family and friends. Rob lived his life to the fullest, and made an imprint on everyone he touched in life. Rob loved to spend time with his grandchildren, and loved his dog Max. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" Harwig; nephew, James "Peanut" Thornsberry; and nephew, Collin Brown.

Rob is survived by his loving wife, Robin Harwig; Daughter, Melody (Randall Blakely)Harwig; Son, Charles DeBos; Grandchildren, Rhyanah Blakely, Raniyah Blakely and Randall Blakely Jr.; Mother, Linda Harwig; Siblings, Vicki (Jim) Thornsberry, Jane (Shawn) McAllister, Jennifer (Jason) Brown, Marc (Quin) Harwig; Nieces and Nephews, Jeff (Bri) Thornsberry, Tony (Erin) Thornsberry, Nick (Logann) Thornsberry, Marcedes McAllister, Shawnte' Evans, M'Kayla (Jessica) Pleasant, Caitlin Brown, Kaylee Brown, Kassidy Brown, Hunter Harwig, and Keller Harwig; Best Friend, Dewey Simpson; and many other great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. A service will begin at 7:00pm, with an opportunity for friends and family to share memories.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
