Robert R. Schreckengost

Robert R. Schreckengost, age 72, of Massillon passed away June 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 7, 1941 in Navarre to the late Everett and Clara (Gantz) Schreckengost. Bob retired from Republic Steel in Canton in 1994. He was a willing friend and helped family and friends whenever possible. In addition to his parents, a son Scott passed in 2012, a daughter Brenda Lynn (1967), a brother Everett and a sister Ethel Murphy. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Palmer) Schreckengost with whom he shared 49 years of marriage. They have a son Robert Schreckengost II of Massillon. There is a sister and brother; Joann (Jesse) Fowler and Bill Schreckengost. There are two grandsons: Christian and Cory and a great grandson, Brayden. Funeral service will be 4 PM Wednesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call from 3 PM until the service. His final resting place will be Brookfield Cemetery.
