Robert R. Schnabel Sr.

Robert R. Schnabel Sr., age 84 of Canton passed away at his residence April 22, 2012. Robert was born July 25, 1927 in Steubenville, OH to the late Christian & Emma Schnabel. He was a member of Moreland Christian Church. Bob was a Man of great faith who deeply loved his wife Gloria and his family. He was blessed with a tremendous passion and gift for music. He will be truly missed by all that loved him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters: Emma (Carroll), Nellie (Hemphill), Charles, Edward, Chris, James and Thomas Schnabel. Bob is survived by his wife Gloria (Rodriguez) Schnabel with whom he shared 61 years of marriage and three children and their spouses, Robert (Lesa) Schnabel, Brenda (Dave) Lydick, Tami (Allan) Schouviller. There are 10 grandchildren, Dr. Robert D. Schnabel, Dustin (Erin) Schnabel, Jarrod Schnabel, Luke Schnabel, Jacob Slutz, Luke Slutz, Kari (Tim) Kelleher, David (Amanda) Lydick, Danyel Thomas, Tom Thomas and 10 great grandchildren and one surviving sister, Margie McCracken. A service of remembrance of Robert Schnabel's life will be Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at a time to be announced for the immediate and extended family.
