Robert P. Baker, 76, passed away on December 12, 2015, following an extended illness. He was born in Massillon on June 11, 1939 to the late Oscar and Isabelle (Mang) Baker. Robert retired from Eaton Corporation in 1999 after forty-three years of service. He was a member of the former Massillon Moose, Sons of Herman and the N. R. A.. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Marie C. DeWees Baker, whom he married on August 30, 1980; daughters, Debra Blough of Wooster, Laureen (Jeff) Daley of North Lawrence, Heather Confalone of Massillon, Ashley (Eric) Zink of Titusville, FL, Tracy (Bill) Whipkey of Harlem Springs; sons, Greg Baker, R. Todd (Karen) Baker both of Massillon and William (Patty) Weller of Beach City; 13 grandchildren, 5, great-grandchildren;a sister, Ann (Dwight) Weaver of Massillon and a brother, Don Baker of Tempe, AZ. He is also preceded in death by his two brothers, Clarence "Bud" and Francis "Red" Baker; sister, Helen Kerrigan; two grandchildren, Jordan Baker and Johnathon Whipkey; and his buddy and champion dog, Chance.
