Robert Lewis Dorkoff, 85, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2021 following an extended illness. He was born in Canton on February 21, 1936. Robert was a 1954 graduate of Lincoln High School and retired from Superior Meats in 1987. He was a proud veteran of The United States Marine Corps and a member of Holy Family Parish and The Knights of Columbus. He coached basketball for St. Clements. Robert loved to fish on Lake Erie and was an avid golfer. He and a friend built their pontoon boats which the families enjoyed many vacations. Robert passed his love of fishing, hunting and wood working on to his children. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ann (Whitmer) Dorkoff, whom he married on August 1, 1959; their children, Roberta Dorkoff, Timothy Mark (Theresa) Dorkoff, Ruth Dorkoff, Christopher (Deb) Dorkoff and Judi Askew; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald, Arthur “Sonny” and Bill Dorkoff, and Renee “ Peaches” Skinner; and close family friend, Melinda Noel. He was preceded in death by his father, Christ Dorkoff; mother and stepfather, Ruth (Milnes) and Sam Tucker; granddaughter, Lailah Lynn; sisters, Christina Black and Joan Buffington; and son-in-law, Joe Askew. Friends and family may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 6pm-8pm and Friday, June 25, 2021, from 10am-11am at Holy Family Parish, Navarre with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11am.
