Robert Lee Latham

Robert Lee Latham, 78 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016. Bob was born on May 10, 1938 in Dalton, the son of the late Frank and Mayme (Messerly) Latham. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1956 Washington High School graduate. He was also a United States Army veteran and stationed in Germany. Bob enjoyed camping, boating, traveling and fishing. He was a member of Canton Baptist Temple. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Geibel) Latham, whom he married on March 27, 1965; children, Brad (Cindy) Latham, Robyn (Bill) Phillips, and Bridget (Jeff) Shilling; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 6 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Liberty Baptist Church: 2349 Southway Street in Massillon.
