Robert Lee Gresh

Robert L. Gresh, 88, passed away on October 6, 2016, following an extended illness. He was born in Massillon on November 15, 1927 to the late John J. and Hazel L. (Aduddell) Gresh. Robert served in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired from Eaton Corp. He was a member of Eagles, Aire 190, American Legion, VFW, and the Sons of Herman. He also was a Massillon Tigers season ticket holder for many years and a sixty year member of Brewster Anglers Club. He loved to work and keep busy. He loved the outdoors, was an avid golfer, and loved spending time at his cabin. If the sun was out so was he. Robert is survived by his constant companion, Doris Hazel; children, Tami (Donald) McFarren of Massillon, Ric (Catherine ) Gresh of Irvine, CA, Robert Gresh II of Massillon, and Dennis Gresh of Sheffield Lake; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marjorie Schludecker of Massillon and Shirley (James) Mannweiler of Massillon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Miller, and a brother, Donald Gresh. Friends and family will gather on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 11:30am – 1:00pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Harbor Light Hospice and the Staff of Amherst Meadows Care Center for their care, love and compassion.
