Robert Lee Catazaro

Robert Lee Catazaro, 78, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2020. He was born in Canton on January 29, 1942 to the late Dominick L. and Dorothy L. (Blackmer) Catazaro. Robert was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and after 35 years, retired from the Timken Company. He was a third and fourth degree member of The Massillon Knights of Columbus and enjoyed serving as an usher at his church. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Mickelina (Basso) Catazaro; their children, Robert D. (Kimberly) Catazaro, Darlene Catazaro and James L. (Tammie) Catazaro; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Joanne (Tony) Labriola, Marion (Betty) Catazaro, Richard (Mary) Catazaro and David (Patricia) Catazaro; and brother-in-law, David (Sandy) Basso. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Todd M. Catazaro and a sister, Charlene Catazaro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 by Fr. David Weikart at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Friends may call one hour prior to mass at the church. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
