Robert L. Peterson

Robert L. Peterson, age 52 of Massillon, passed away Monday at Affinity Medical Center – Doctors Campus. Robert was born on August 31, 1954 to Louis and Mary (Winemiller) Peterson. He had worked for Sonoco Phoenix Packaging in Canton as a line maintainer. Robert was a Perry High School graduate. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working on cars. He is preceded in death by; his father, sister Alma Hoiles, nephews, Michael and Fred Long. In addition to his mother he is survived by his son, Christopher “Chris” Peterson; daughter Tiffany Peterson both of Massillon; sisters, Mary Lou (Ben) Tichnell, Jean (Al) Tucke, Barb (Clyde) Nutter all of Canton, Libby (Larry) Morgan of Dalton and Fran Ross of Navarre. Funeral services celebrating Robert’s life will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Arnold – Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon with Rev. David Morgan officiating. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Interment will take place following the services at Melscheimer Cemetery.
