Robert L. Gulling, age 85 passed away Thursday October 2, 2008 at The Landing of Canton. Bob was born September 30, 1923 in Nimishillen Twp. to the late Marvin & Margaret (Zwick) Gulling. He attended Louisville High School, Walsh College, Kent State University, Columbia University and the Advance Management Program of Harvard University. During WW II, Bob was a Petty Officer, serving in the Pacific and received an honorable discharge. Bob began his career with the Timken Co in 1950 and advanced to become General Manager of Bearing Operations of the Bucyrus District, retiring in 1986. In Bucyrus he was a member of the American Legion, BPOE, K of C, Moose, and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a Principal member in the development and initial president of the Bucyrus Area Community Foundation, Hospital Board, Chamber of Commerce and a principle member in the development and initial president of the Crawford County Development Board, – The Crossroads Industrial Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Jean ((Locker) Gulling, a sister Vivian Gulling and a brother Richard Gulling. He is survived by three daughters, a son and their spouses: Susan & David Harding of Massillon, Julie & Bill Brennan of Dunedin, FL, Barbara & David Musgrave of Kettering, Timothy Gulling of Bucyrus; a brother Charles (Jane) Gulling of North Canton, four sisters, Audrey (Dr. Angelo) Pederzolli of Alliance, Marian ( Jack) Egan of San Dimas, CA, Corinne Gulling of Louisville, Monica Scully of North Royalton. There are 11 grandchildren: Jessica Harding, Jarrod Harding, Damien (Kerri) Garner, Isaac (Mara) Garner, Rachel Garner, Theresa Garner, Derek Musgrave, Meghan Musgrave, Brett Musgrave, Nicole Gulling, Cody Gulling; and a great grandson, Armando Garner. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
