Robert J. Manhart

Robert J. Manhart age 57 of Massillon passed away Sunday October 4, 2009 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born August 11, 1952 in Massillon to Joseph & Alice ( Friedrichsen) Manhart and was a 1972 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Bob lived for 18 years in Las Vegas and retuned to Massillon in 2000. Robert loved NASCAR and for a while worked on a pit crew. He was a civil war re-enactor and made replica cannons that actually fired. All thru his illness he maintained a positive attitude and humor that helped his entire family. He was preceded in death by two nephews, Joey and Matthew Manhart. He is survived by his parents, Joe & Alice Manhart, two sisters and four brothers: Judy & Edward Cebulko of Las Vegas & Hills & Dales, Becky & Patrick Tully of North Lawrence, Joseph & Felicia Manhart of Naples, Michael & Chris Manhart of Fort Lauderdale, David Manhart of S. Miami, Mark & Isis Manhart of Boca Raton, eight nieces and nephews and a great nephew. Bob maintained a close relationship with his classmates one of whom was Judge Ed Elum. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, his pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. A private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 PM and Wednesday from 9 AM until 9:30 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
