Robert J. Boydelatour, age 82 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 13, 1927 in Canton, Ohio and was the son of the late Walter and Dorothy (Benedum) Boydelatour. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He graduated from Middlebranch High School in 1946. He retired from Pennzoil where he worked in maintenance and was a truck driver. He was a former member of Lake Mohawk Golf Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne Boydelatour and his sisters, Gloria Stephen and Helen Csuti. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie A. (Langenfeld) Boydelatour, whom he married on May 7, 1949, his son, James (Treva) Boydelatour of Massillon, his daughter, Bonnie (Sam) Slimak of Canton, his grandchildren, Michelle Putnam, Michael Boydelatour and Justina, Jessica and Natalie Slimak, 3 great grandchildren Rachelle, Reese and Ceairah and his sisters Shirley (Robert) Rodek of Canton and Linda (Paul) Zincon) of Bakersville, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. William Kraynack officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
