Robert Hodgson

Robert Hodgson, 84, of Massillon passed away Sunday evening March 16, 2009 at the Country Lawn Nursing Home. He was born Sept 27, 1924 in Navarre, OH the son of Joseph C. and Josephine M. (Houvig) Hodgson. Robert was retired machinist having been employed by the Hercules Engine Co. He was a WW II veteran of the United States Army and was a former member of the Navarre V.F.W. Post # 5047. Robert was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. He married Jean (Sibila) on May 9, 1953. She preceded him in death September 22, 2001. Robert is survived by children Jody (John) Scharon of Shaker Heights, OH, Kirk Hodgson of Massillon, Amy (Merle) Willis of Malvern, OH and Michael Hodgson of Canton; grandchildren Catherine Scharon, and Jacob Hodgson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and brothers Charles and Raymond Hodgson. There will be no visitation and services will be private.
