Robert G. Zickefoose, 87, of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Chapel Hill Community. Bob was born on January 16, 1927 in Barberton, Ohio the son of the late Forrest and Lucille (Grove) Zickefoose. At an early age, he moved to Manchester and spent much of childhood on his grandparents, Roscoe and Hallie Grove's farm. He attended Manchester Grade School and Manchester High School and graduated in 1945. Bob was active in all sports. Upon graduating he enlisted in the United States Army, serving our country during WWII in Japan. After returning from service, he was employed by P.P.G. Industries in Barberton, and retiring as an electrician. He was Canal Fulton Police Chief retiring after 20 years of service. He was also a realtor and worked for Jackson Realtors at Belden Village. He was a member of Clinton Lodge #47 F & AM, Scottish Rite, and American Legion Post #221. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine (Bond) Zickefoose whom he married on September 23, 1951; his children, Craig G., Keith G. & Becky, Brian G., and Robert Zickefoose all of Canal Fulton, and Lyn Rae & Mitch Graham of FL; and 3 grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday and Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. There will be a Masonic Service on Friday at 7:00 P.M.
