Robert G. Shaffer

Robert G. "Mike" Shaffer, Jr., age 59 of Perry Township, died on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on May 19, 1952 in Canton, Ohio to Imogene (Allen) Shaffer and the late Robert G. Shaffer, Sr. He was a lifelong area resident. Mike was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and sports. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Shaffer, Sr. He is survived by his wife. Laurie (Mottice) Shaffer whom he married on May 27, 1977, his sons, Aaron Shaffer and Matt Shaffer, his mother, Imogene Shaffer, his brother Dave (Sue) Shaffer and his sisters, Diane Shaffer and Mary (Chris) Kreiling. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Laura Mottice, his sister-in-law Debby Weaver and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 14th at 10:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Fr. William Kraynack officiating.
