Robert Earl Daugherty

Robert E. Daugherty, 86, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. Robert was born on January 27, 1930 in Philippi, WV the son of the late Frank and Ila (McDaniel) Daugherty. He was a United States Army veteran and served our country during the Korean War. Robert worked for Hercules / White Engines for over 40 years. He was quick witted, musically gifted, enjoyed gardening and loved being with his family. Robert was an active member of Central Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Georgia, James, Bill, Ernie, Warren, Gladys, and Marvin. He is survived by his wife, Shirley R. (Brown) Daugherty, whom he shared 61 years of marriage; his children and their spouses, Karen Daugherty, Gary (Diann) Daugherty, Robin (Jeffrey) Seemann, Beth (Daniel) Kaser, and Anngi (Dale) Klick; grandchildren, Bryan, Clint, and Aaron (Megan) Baltzly, Allen, and Adrianne Seemann, Justin (Jessica) and Alicia Daugherty, Robert and Ryan Kaser, and Ila, Emma, and Anna Klick; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon.
