Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather Robert E. Paris, 92 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home after creating a lifetime of memories together with family and friends. He was born on May 9, 1918 in Stark County and was the son of the late Frank and Donata Paris. He was a lifelong area resident. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie on March 19, 2003, his sisters, Celia Mercer and Mary Evans and his brother Bernard Paris. He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Edward Hodgson of Massillon and Carole and Blair Bickel of Columbus. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jason Hodgson, Brad (Jen) Bickel Nathan (Shari) Hodgson, Barb (Chad) Moros and Bethany (Joe) Tee and his great grand grandchildren Ethan, Ryan, Chase, Sophia, Olivia, Jillian, and Oliver He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman his entire life and has many friends who shared his love of golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, gardening, and wine making. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Robert E. Paris will take place on Friday Oct 22 at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place and his cremains will be interred alongside his wife at Union Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in the name of Robert E.
