Robert E. Eversole, age 80 of Massillon, died Sunday afternoon at his residence. He was born on June 23, 1926 in Dover, Ohio and was the son of the late Earl Douglas & Erma Lyda (Brinkman) Eversole. Following his graduation from Washington High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served during World War II. He retired from the former Central States Can where he headed the quality control department. Robert was a member of Faith Community Fellowship Church, the North Lawrence Fish & Game Club and the Orrville Sportsman Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Shirley Eversole. He is survived by his wife, Coyla I. (Fritz) Eversole whom he married on June 17, 1951, his daughters, Jodie A. Nash of Canton, OH, Julia I. (John) Chapman of Massillon, Janine E. (Ron) Archer of Gnadenhutten, OH and Janice E. (Perry) Amstutz of Massillon. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his sisters Maxine Gurd and Donna Meek both of Mesa, AZ. A celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Saturday, November 25th at 1:00 P.M. at Faith Community Fellowship Church with Pastors David Kimberly, Jamie Chapman and Rev. Vince Bagley officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. Friends may call at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday one hour before the service at the church.
